Hidden villages of the Vaucluse
When talking about Provence, the first things that come to mind are often the smell of lavender in the summer air, the
sun warming your skin while having a chilled glass of local rosé. But the beautiful region of the Vaucluse, namely in the
Ventoux area, will certainly have you charmed by its quaint villages that we are going to help you discover.
Venasque, classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France, finds itself
perched on the hill tops. With its paved cobble stone streets, cute fountain in the
middle of the town square surrounded by terraces of the typical cafes, it is hard
not to fall head over heels for the place. Surrounded by its valleys filled with cherry
trees, from the top of the village you will find breath taking views of the area all the
way to the Mont Ventoux. A must do, will be to have dinner at Les Rempart, which
boasts the best tomato Tartatin of the whole region. And if, like many have before
you, you fall for this place, you can easily let yourself be tempted by our town
houses right in the heart of the village, which will offer both a great location while

being in a quiet environment.
Not far from there you will also find the town of Pernes-les-Fontaines. Full of life, this town offers one the favorite
markets of the area on Saturday mornings, where your senses will be delightfully tickled. From the olive oil filled stalls to
the vast array of local cheeses, beautiful linens, and the gorgeous fountains that can be found all around the old part of
town, Pernes-les-Fontaines is a must. The Provencal lifestyle found here, will surely be enticing. Especially when one
knows a typical Provencal mas is available for sale in this beautiful part of the Ventoux region, offering spacious volumes
and a big garden just steps away from the Pernois life.
For the bike aficionados, the village of Bedoin may not be completely new territory.
Tucked away in the middle of the beautiful natural park of the Ventoux, at the foot hills of
the Mont Ventoux itself, Bedoin offers lots of little cafes and shops giving the village a
warm and lively ambiance. Whether you decide to follow in the steps of the Tour de
France and take on the epic climb by bike or to explore one of the many beautiful hikes the
area has, the stunning views that you will find will never get old. Here also, one could
easily be tempted by the idea of making this lovely village their secondary home. With
one of our homes for sale in the Ventoux area, you could find the peacefulness of the country side perfectly
complimented by the village life Bedoin has to offer nearby.
It is easy to see that the Ventoux region and its villages are truly hidden gems that offer charm and authenticity, whether
you decide to come discover them on holiday or because you are thinking of buying a house in Provence, they will
surely take your breath away.
