Musical program in Vaucluse and Luberon
Nicolas Galina, Laurent Garnier and Arthur Durigon: created in 2013 the festival "Yeah!" in the courtyard of the castle of Lourmarin. The DJ Laurent Garnier launches in parallel his musical label "Sounds like Yeah!" or "SLY" in Lourmarin.

For many, the village of Lourmarin is attached to the image of Albert Camus, who is buried there. But by force, Laurent Garnier, 49, who was the first of the French DJ-stars international (1980s), will eventually catch up with the author of "L'étranger". After creating in 2013, with his accomplices, Nicolas Galina (ex-Pop In, Paris) and Arthur Durigon (ex-programmer of Espace Doun, Rognes), the fabulous festival "Yeah! (next edition of the 5 to 7 June ed), the same trio this time launches its own musical label. Code name: SLY, for "Sounds like Yeah!" A structure based in Lourmarin, 1,000 inhabitants at the cleat.

Pop, rock and electro
Laurent Garnier, formerly the founder of the precursor label for electro music in France (1994), F Communications, has been a resident of Vaucluse for ten years (see opposite). He also collaborates with his two youngest children, Nicolas Galina and Arthur Durigon. What about the artistic line of "Sounds like Yeah!"? Substantially the same as their festival, where they hosted Balthazar, Baxter Dury, Lescop, Hushpuppies and Allah-Las. Anchored rock, pop, electro. Sometimes in disorder. "We are very open, even if we think that a group of Tecktonik or K-Pop (korean pop) will not find its place in our catalog ... Whatever it can make us laugh!" they say, quick to do things seriously without taking themselves seriously.

Two groups in the news
Two first bands have already been signed on the young label: the rock duo an enervé nothing but also zygomatic Narco Terror. But especially the trio Marseille Husbands (album to be released on March 9), whose electro-pop mutineer hits the listener on first listen. And hangs so much on the tenth. It must be said that in this group are some magicians in this field: Mathieu, by Kid Francescoli, the other Mathieu, by Oh Tiger Moutain !, and Simon, by Nasser. These are three of the most exciting Phocae projects of the past decade. In SLY, "there is no assigned role, we listen to all three groups, if there is one that does not unanimity, we move on to another." We also have in our team, Virginie, who is our commissioner. She is the one who works the most! "

They are waiting for your demos
On the postulate of each of the three, it will also be learned that "Arthur does the Bloody Mary very well, Laurent specializes in Thai soup and Nicolas loves Arthur's Bloody Mary and Laurent's Thai soup! the future signatures of the label will be exclusively groups in development, that is how they arise: "if Nick Cave wants to sign we will not say no ...! They are above all favorites, no matter if the artist is young or if he has already proved himself, the important thing is that it sticks between us, humanly and musically! "The groups of the region Laurent (Garnier) loves to listen to the music, the music, the music and the music. in his car the demos he receives, he is an expert!

For interested groups, the demos are to send to the headquarters of the Association Yeah, 27 chemin de Vitas 84160 Lourmarin
